Our gin is an ode to Zambia’s rich landscapes, vibrant culture and the extraordinary botanicals that grow here – but also to the temperament of its people: kind, familiar and bold.
Run by a husband and wife team, Kyami began with a simple idea: to take what’s mine – the knowledge, the heritage, the land – and make it ours.
And with every bottle that finds its way into someone’s hands, it becomes even more so.

Our gin is distilled in small batches using a cassava-based spirit and locally sourced botanicals, carefully crafted to preserve their authentic flavours. This meticulous process ensures each ingredient’s character shines through, made with genuine care and attention.

More than just a gin, Kyami is a celebration of community, heritage and craftsmanship, bringing together generations of distilling knowledge with a modern, innovative approach. Every bottle captures the essence of Zambia: wild, warm and beautifully bold.
Our story begins in a small village, where my grandmother brewed malwa – a traditional local brew. Her instinct for flavour, balance and care was passed down to my father. He carried that same essence into the days we spent making fruit wines together – a legacy he passed down to me, and one I now carry forward in my passion for distilling.
That legacy lives on – in our team, in our craft and in every bottle we produce. From hands-on distilling to the smallest detail on the label, Kyami reflects a shared pride in where we come from and what we create together. “
